Agrarian Harvest is a small, family farm in Buhl, Idaho on the Snake River Plain. Located in South Central Idaho our farm is diverse in livestock, poultry, produce and herbs. We (John and Becky) both grew up on conventional farms and both have degrees in agriculture. We began part-time produce farming 2009 and proceeded to full-time produce farming in 2014.
We practice clean food production. We use non-GMO Organic seed, Organic potting soil, compost for fertilizer, no commercial fertilizers or insecticides and practice minimum to no-till allowing the soils microbes and worms to thrive. We use deep mulch and occultation for weed control.
We have three cold frames to start our seeds and for beginning our growing season early. We use low tunnels for season extensions as needed for cold sensitive crops. We use the body heat of our meat chickens to heat one of the cold frames for our seedling starts from March to May. We use solar power to power our home and farm’s electrical needs.

Hi Becky and John…..Scott here from Newport OR….still remembering our wonderful chance meeting at Rocky Creek! Can you ship Pork to us or do you only sell locally? I like to dry cure Spanish Chorizo a couple of times a year and use about 10-12lbs of pork shoulder for each batch but that can vary. I don’t know how often you have shoulders available but I could use frozen shoulder(s) if they are available.
Please let me know if or when you will have pork shoulder available and the price per pound plus shipping.

We do have pork shoulder available, but have not shipped meat before. We will have to check into requirements and cost, then get back to you. Sorry for the wait.

If it is too big a hassle please just tell me and we will forget it. Just freeze about 10+lbs of pork shoulder and overnight ship it with a frozen pack in a container . We get fish shipped fresh overnight from the East coast so it is doable. Yes, we can get local pork shoulder here but we’d like to support your farm if possible. However, …..if your place is quite a distance from any “overnight shipping” then it isn’t worth the headache which we totally understand. Just let us know.
There is no hurry because I will have to freeze any meat because I won’t need it for a few months…..but I don’t want to need it…but you don’t have any shoulder available.
